anyone else have this and what did you do i dont want to be suckin rust and paint into the motor. Its weird all the other stuff is aluminum and thay gotta put a sttel pipe in here.

I haven't seen the inside of my turbo pipes, but plans in the next few weeks include the replacement of all the hoses (Mr. Bob's) and I'll sure be looking at those pipes thanks to your observation. Thanks

A little rust prolly wont hurt too much, does it look like it will flake off in any big chunks? Anything smaller than a pencil eraser prolly isnt gonna do much damage. .

Depending on what alum you get, some types can react with condensation (which has the common ability to be acidic), and produce aluminum oxide, which is a white powder, (alum rust). If you have the intake system apart, now would be a good time to measure the pieces and see if you can get some SS pipes made up. I`m sure you could market them here in the classifieds...

good luck

Got a free piece from a buddy at the local scrap yard.
FYI at least at my scrap yard many plumbers are turning in brand new fittings and pipe (i'm sure the boss would love to know) and the scrap yard will sell you the fittings and pipe at a scrap rate
