Diesel Smell, how do ya get rid of it?

The wittle furd thought he could! Ha

Watching NFL just now on FOX. They had a FERD commercial where a Flat top with a load of pipes stuck in a tunnel. And who shows up to save the day? Some metro Paul Bunyan and his mighty 6. 0. How GAY!!!The rig was spinning its wheels to get out but the light duty turd was the force needed to fix this catastrophe. I just cant stand these executive office ideas on advertising that think they appeal to the average truck buyer.

i saw that one the other day, you didn't get all warm and fuzzy ether?! all hail to the mighty ford able to tie up a service bay in a single bound :-laf

I just logged on here to say something about that... I was wondering what anyone else thought about the feasability of that for ANY one ton truck.

For my . 02, I think it is a load of poop. But what do I know? Maybe that Ford is all powerful! :-laf :-laf :-laf

The best part of the commercial is how they portray thier buyers... IDIOTS! Who in thier right freaking mind pulls BACKWARDS with CHAINS tied to the FRONT tow hooks? THat is just an accident waiting to happen!

Plus, I have seen trucks stuck under bridges, takes a hell of alot more than a 1-ton dually to get them un-stuck!

I thought the tow hooks were there to help get YOU unstuck - pulling backwards using your tow hooks is a great way to kill your driveline.

But they do appeal to the average truck buyer. That's why you are here, we all know better. BUT... . I must admit in the past several weeks I've seen several great looking fords on me and my buddies trailers... one guess where they were headed... . right to the shredder... all buybacks under various Lemon Laws. Hey, the pays good!! :-laf

exactly! I would never pull backwards, only tried once, but it was a small car. Pulling backward is most likely caused that furd to hop so much, not so good on the driveline. The stupidity in that commercial is mind boggling, but then again, what furd commercial isnt? Wohoo, our F150 can pull a semi over its head using a complicated pulley system to make the truck look tough, and use one of our kick *** overly expensive bed mounting bolts. Cuz ya know, truck beds fall off all the time! :-laf

Or a great way to send something flying through the windshield at you.

The tow hooks on the front of Fords are to make it easier for the TOW truck driver to TOW the Fords onto the rollbacks for transport to the nearest dealership. :-laf

Ain't it the truth... :D :D :D

Ford Commercial

Why didn't the 18 wheeler drop his tire pressure and lower the load by an inch or two to get out of the jam????

Also, if that trucker didn't know the height of his load, he shouldn't be driving.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I also laughed at this ridiculous commercial.

Maybe he's a ford owner also!!!!! :p Those hooks also are good spots to tie down those things i haul to the shredder!! :D

It kind of reminds me of the DMAX commercial where a 3500 is towing galvanized 12" pipe on a flat bed 5ver and is passing a semi on a grade. First of all galvanized pipe doesn't weigh much and any vehicle can pass a semi on a grade. If you want to compare pulling capability than show it out pulling a CTD or the P/S (7. 3 only).

I saw the commercial as well. I think I shouted, "Lame!" at the TV. The commercial appeared to be crafted by somebody who never drove a truck. Strangely reminiscent of Chevy truck ads over the last ten years. Lots of fluff, little substance.

Well nothing beats that Ice breaker Ship getting stalled in the thick ice and the Furd being lowered down and starting pulling it... WTF EVER!!! :-laf
