I would rather have the $10k difference between that truck and what I spent on my 2003! AND I got the Cummins and two extra wheels!! That $10k would go a long way torwards a performance clutch, tuning box, twins, etc...

make that 2 special options... no want no slushbox eh...

Don't like it's 5spd auto... eh?

It comes standard with the G56..... :)

To the others who would rather do the mods themselves... . I LOVE the idea that this is all factory installed equipment that is backed by the same factory warranty that covers the rest of the truck.

And as for the price, the power wagon is a $6300 upgrade from the regular SLT 2500 Ram.

I think it is more than worth it if you enjoy going off road, after all you get front and back LOCKING diffs (back is also a posi when unlocked), special AAM diff case up front to help protect the diff cover from rocks and such, PW specific Alcoa forged aluminium wheels that have a modified wheel bead seat to increase tire bead surface area and bead retention under low tire pressures, electronic disconnecting front sway bar, plenty of skid plates, 12,000LB Warn winch with 90 ft of 7/16'' cable, 160 amp alternator, Bilstein shocks, 1. 5" of lift (over normal 2500), 33" BFG A/Ts (I think they should have the BFG Mud Terrains as an option ;) ), fender flares, and probably a few other things I forgot to list.

I would love to have a PW in addition to my 02 :D I just can't possibly afford it :(

So till the day comes when either the PW has a Cummins (probably never  ) or I can afford two trucks, it looks like my dually is going to continue playing in the mud!

BTW, I have been looking at some of those little Suzuki Samurais as an AFFORDABLE way of keeping by beast out of the mud. What you guys think of them?

I like my Samurai, but they are kinda small if'n you want to pack more than a sack lunch with you. They are also a little under-powered to be playin in the mud I think, stock anyhow. Mine is low geared for rock-crawling, so power really isn't an issue. However, they are EXCELLENT on fuel. Trail ride all day on half a tank of gas.

Travis. .

Travis, thanks for the reply! And what are some of the common problems with your Samurai?

I kind of figured they are short on power, however, I enjoy trail riding much more than just playing in the mud, my truck is just WAY too big for most any trail! That and most trails give you lots of dents and scratches, not so much a problem with just playing in mud in an open field.

Thanks, CJ

I don't do mud!

My Samurai is built for rock-crawling, too. Just like Travis said, with a 4:1 t-case and 5. 38:1 diffs, power is not an issue on the rocks, but mud is typically a horsepower challenge. Sand usually is, too, but the Samurai is so light it can perform amazing feats on (not in) the sand.

Of course, the Sami mostly just takes up space in the garage since I built the TJ four years ago--know anybody near Florida who wants one for rock-crawling?

makes me miss my old 78 Dodge W200 M880 military pickup :{ I had 35's, 360V8, 4 speed transmission, dana 60 rear, 44 front, all time 4wd, KC lightbar with 4 150w daylighters, autometer gauges, man i miss that truck, give it to my bro to keep it around, then he blew the motor up over revving it, now he wants to drive my new 02 2500 :--) i don't think so.
