I don't know to much about them but would like to add some more HP.

Where do I start ?

Rv injectors

PDR's

DD1's

DD2's

then I've read I can have the trans recalibrated for the added power, where would something like this be done ?

Where you start depends on where you want to end up.....

Your transmission will be in serious danger if you add any more power without upgrading the valvebody at least. There are a several companies that do the trans mods, your best bet is to call each of them and pick the one that suits you best. It is impossible to have a transmission upgrade brand discussion on here that stays civil or even useful, so instead of asking just do a search. There is a months worth of reading with a search. When you decide on what brand transmission upgrades to get the builder will tell you where to go to get the upgrades done.

What power level do you want to get to and what do you use your truck for? Very important information when upgrades are chosen.

the dd'2 would proly work real good with your ez box. along with the transmission upgrade, gauges are a must at this point also. happy powering

Well as far as power adders I think this is where it would stop. I would like another 60-80hp. This truck is a daily driver and in the winter I tow snowmobiles (2000#) and in the summer I tow my boat (7000#).

The truck only has 26,000 miles and I would like to keep it somewhat warrantie-able. I'm sure that with the EZ (just unplug it) and the injectors (can't see them) it would pass.

I do have gauges so I can monitor my changes but the general consensus is that the trans cannot take anymore power than what I've got now. I'm doing this on a budget and injectors don't seem that expensive , trans upgrades do.

I was warned before I did anything that bombing is and addiction. It just starts out with " I just want a little more power" So I bought an EZ, well I got beat by a PSD the other day, so now I want just a little more power and so on and so on... :D

Just my . 02, but do yourself a favor and at the very least upgrade the valve body before you add injectors. With an EZ and injectors you will have enough power to damage an unmodified auto. You can spend a little now to prevent damage to the transmission or alot later to fix the damage.

I'm done on the soapbox now. :)

As far as the injectors go, DDII's and an EZ make for a very fun truck. If you tow heavy I'd stick with the II's or smaller, they will smoke less and keep the EGT's a little lower. If all you tow is the 7000lb boat then even the III's might be ok depending on your tolerance for smoke and how closely you want to watch the EGT gauge while driving.

Good Luck,

MIke

my experience

I was nervious about jumping in to deep to start with so I started with 275's they were good and truck ran good and I used the comp on 2 or 3 most of the time, so the bombing bug said to get a little more power so I put dd2's in and now I don;t drive with the comp on at all until towing then 2 or 3 and it drives just shy of to strong in snowy roads w/o comp on so I like it.

Craig

P. S. manual trans of course

Does Cummins have a part number for the 275RV injectors ?

I did a search on this subject and it seems like that would be the way to go with an auto.

I have a friend that works for Cummins and hopefully can get a deal on those.

I think I've decided to go with the 275rv injectors, Now the question is how hard are they to install and how long of a job is it?

275 injectors

I just had 275's installed. I like them and they hardly effected my egts. My truck accelrates as fast as I can react and thats enough for me. You can see from my sig. the upgrades I have. I would be careful with your transmission if you do go with any injector. I think you really have to lay out your truck in the correct sequence. You need transmission upgrades first. JMHO.

Thanks. I saw that # but assumed that it was a Cummins or worse yet a Dodge part #. I was looking for a Bosch part #. I am assuming that Bosch is the manufacture. TNX again :):)

I think usually they put a leading 0 in front of the number. Just tell anybody you want a set of 275's for your 24v. If they say huh, go somewhere else. If they say how about DDII's or a set of Bullydogs, sit down and talk. ;)

I've got a set of DD1's you might be interested in. Same part # as originals so warranty shouldn't be an issue. Nice power increase. I've gone a bit "hotter" but my drive chain will take the heat. PM me if interested.

TNX contact me at -- email address removed --. I am running an auto and would like to keep the pwr down to under 275--300hp.
