If I were to decide to sell my truck that is in my SIG, What do you guys think it is worth? Also it has a new rebuilt NV4500 with the 5th gear nut fixed and a new Clutch, all with 600 miles on it. Pete

I believe that some of the members have paid 8-9 thousand with more mileage than you have. You also have done a few things to your truck.

The main thing is the 215 hp pump. Club cab and 4wd are a plus.

How "loaded" the truck is with options, how clean and straight it is and service history would affect value. I paid $9000 for my '96 with 351,000 on the clock but it was in pretty nice shape and 1-owner with several new BOMB items recently added. I think I could've done a little better though.

Being a '97 is a plus because it's considered the best of the 2nd Gen 12-valve trucks and has hydroboost brakes & steering. I say this because the '98 12-valve engine is a bit of an odd duck (built out of the 24-valve block, having some different fastener dimensions and more than a couple different pumps).

Thanks for the input. I'm only the second owner and it has been maintained regularly and I have all of the records from the previous owner. It has some minor rust on the doors which I plan to replace if I keep it and some minor rust on the rocker panels. Not bad though.

That was going to be my first question... rust. I saw PA under your ID and remember the truck I got out of PA a while back... rusty. Dodge doors are known to be a bad spot in the salt belts. The x-cab corners are the worst b/c the are hard to fix right and expensive too. I try to buy my trucks from the south west because a lot of people up in my area will pay more for a truck that has been rust free all it's life...

Not sure how much it helps but I paid 12k for my 97 auto with 170k two years ago. With the upgrades I've done, I suspect I could probably get about what I paid for it.

McLaughlin, is the body pretty good on yours. Mine isn't that bad, it just needs alittle to make it real nice. Pete

Was pretty much perfect when I purchased it a couple of small (less then 1/2 in) scratches on the bed.

Front driver's fender had been in a fender bender but there was a good repair done on it. Didn't matter anyhow since my wife took the fender out shortly after the purchase when someone turned right from the left lane in front of her. Didn't damage the fender much but the place I took it to replaced the fender anyhow.

Since then, the clear coat on the roof has been peeling :( .

97 and a 5spd should have the 215 pump. What color is it I have someone looking for a ext cab?. PM me the info if you want... ... . Andy
