I like those steps. What's the cheapest place you have found them?
I picked them up from
4 Wheel Parts They have an actual store near by, but they will ship them to your home through the web site.
Do your homework before you head out and purchase them. These steps are made by N-Fab but do not carry the stamped name. N-Fab makes a generic model and sells them for around $175 less. I was told that there is no difference between the N-Fab stamped steps and the generic. This is the route I went. I Drive home with them for $500. 00 not including local tax.
They were trying to charge me a freight shipment charge of around $80. (the box is right around 8 feet) I Circumvented the charge by pretending to purchase the steps online and printed out the page just before i add my credit card information. Up to this point, there is no mention of a shipping charge. I argued my case and had them sent to the store without having to pay for shipping. I don't think I made any friend that day... (I could care less)
You can get the color matched if you go through their website
N-Fab for an additional charge, but you will be forced to pay the freight charge. If this is something you want to do, get the black ones and get them re-powder coated with your custom color from a local shop.
Installation was a breeze. the hardest part was getting the first one measured out. follow the instructions and use a set of jack stands. (covering up the ends of the stands so you don't scratch the steps. make sure that you look behind the drip rail before you do any drilling! about half the length of the step there is a metal flange that protrudes out right at the center support of the step. if you are not careful, you will end up hanging up on it and it will ruin your day. the first one took me about an hour to do (taking my time and drinking plenty of beer) and the second was about 20 minutes. Oh... don't forget to replace all the hardware before installation. I broke 2 of the bolts on final torque down and racked my knuckles. head out to your local hardware store and get the grade 8 bolts and nyloc nuts. I painted the heads of the bolts after I installed them so they are not an eye sore. its way easier if you do this the night before install. It looks so much better.
Overall I really like them. I have never seen the steps on another truck of any make. and they look even better if you are above the stock height.
My two cents... Big_Horn
