2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Thinking Stack, Need pics to help decide

Ok so I am think about putting stacks on my truck, an would like to see what other members trucks look like, with both angles, and miters

I saw a few trucks at the pulls and decided that stacks were not for me.

Stacks drastically reduced my EGT's---and that was with the 160 pump.



I'm currently running 5" miters. 4" turbo/downpipe and adapted up 5" at the "Y" pipe.



Notes on first stacks: Plan ahead. Bed hole needs to be off-center to minimize interference with driveshaft. Build from top down--to keep things really straight and square. If you are towing much, you might consider a resonator. Find some local stacked folks and examine their systems. Some are all-pipe and some are box-built. If you go flattop or miter, be sure to leave some leaks underneath to allow the rainwater to drain.



I've considered using a 5" truck muffler (gutted or not) in place of the box--it's some cheaper than a "Y". The coolest truck muff for that is chromed, but it's very expensive.



I may try the 4" inside 5" next set. Lotso ways to do it.

Check out "my" readers rigs... . I like my stacks. Like I've said in the past though, you have to have atleast 5 inchers; 4" look retarded! AND they shouldn't stick out 5 feet over the cab like those retarded looking stacks in that black truck in Diesel Power Mag a few months back.

No, I didn't see that, but I could only imagine... I wished I had a dital camera so I could take a picture and post it on here. It's a 2003 Ford Power stroke with no sh** 8 inch big rig bull haulers... . You talk about looking retarded. He has them centered in the middle of the bed and spaced about a foot apart. They stick way up high over the cab. Maybe some one will chime in and take a pic that's stationed here at Cherry Point, NC. I see TDR logo's, but can never chase them down.

Check my reader's rigs. My brother's 99 even uses a pace edwards cover like your sig says you have on your truck.

What I'd really like to find, and I've only seen them a couple of times, are called "mother-in-law tongues". It's a flap that fits into miter cut stack. Saw them on a couple of Peterbuilts--once. Anybody know where to get those?

I'll throw in a couple of pics. 2 of my old truck with Miters even with the cab and turnouts 6" above. New truck had turnouts about 4" above the cab, but have recently been removed for a 4" straightpipe. I plan to make it interchangeable so I can still run my old miters for sled pulling.
