Third gen wheels on first gens?

Howdy fellas,i normally post in the 3g forum,but had a question that you may be able to answer. Has anyone put the 3g 17" wheels on a 1st gen truck?Stud spacing the same? Etc. Thanks,Mark.

I like the idea, but dont think it'll work- something about the coin fit on first Gens, and the later ones not being. Then there is the one being hub centered, and the other being something else. BUt this is daullies; SRWs may not be a problem.

they fit ,sort of. i have a set of 03 steel 17"s on my 93 d-250. back spacing is different. need to run 1" spacers to stop them from rubbing on the upper a arms and the inner fenderwell of the bed.

also 03 uses a 9/16 acorn lug and the center/hubcap clips to the edge of the lug. 93 uses 1/2 lug/stud
