Ford's ZF 6-speed trans positives/negatives?

oh that's too funny. One minute he is talking about needing an extended warranty. Then the next minute he refers to it as the best built truck.

Can I please post a reply to that over there, please please!?!?!?

I just want to quote the guy that said that. I may do it anyway, haha.

What I think he meant to say was, "Congratulations, you bought the finest POS ever. "

I got a kick out of them being excited to see one with 99,000 miles on it. Oh boy that's a record

I know of at least two '03 Dodge Cummins with well over 100K, EB and Yogibear. Yogi had 117,000 when he stopped by Pasco a couple weeks ago.

It's pretty sad when you think of it... So many people getting excited because one crossed 100K, Woo-hoo... . I'm thinking my rings might be properly seated by then... .

OK, 99K plus on the truck...

How many miles on the engine?

How many engines?

I would love to see this OASIS report (Ford version of the Ten Commandments, all must bend knee to the holy word of the dealer report) to see what all has been done. If it truly is the original engine and all has been well with that truck, then that truly is a marvel, and something to be proud of, given their history.

A neighbor pulls 5ers for a living, & has 185K on his 03. It ate a lift pump the other day, first trouble with truck. He is thanking the kid who totaled his Powerstroke for him every time he fills up. The H. O. gets better mpg than the powerstroke too. 11 vs 8 working & 18-20 vs 15-16 empty. :D Don

But seriously, I hope the guy has good luck with it. Then the Ford camp can't use the "my 6. 0L has issues" excuses when we beat 'em up hills. :-laf

Fill me in on the ACES II Stuff please.....

Thanks

Good info - thought there must be a system kind'a like this but didn't know what it was or how it worked... ... . Thanks
