This One Time At Band Clamp...

Is there different band clamps? I know about the ones for butting two pieces together. Is there a different clamp for a flaired pipe end?

I've never seen one made special for flared, but have seen some to join two different sizes.

Here is a link to a site that I bought most of my stack pieces from. I learned the hard way that there are indeed two different styles. Although the pictures don't illustrate the differences very well, the "preformed" ones are made to clamp two slightly different diameter pipes together like a flare joint, where as the regular seal clamps are for butt joints.

yep. . you can get the smooth clamps for butt conntections... and you can get the expanded clamp for when you have a flared pipe that has a non flared pipe inserted. same clamps are used for flexpipe... any truck shop will have the 4" and 5" styles of both in stock
