I have a stumble at about 1500 rpm and a bit of smoke. I've been smelling the scent of fuel for a couple weeks now after the engine is shut down. I've eliminated the fuel return line, and the overflow/fuel return valve is only 30k old.
A quick look through the archives and I've determined I should look at my fuel pressure and the lift pump. The pump is original with 146k miles on it. The truck is a stock '95 auto. Lots of input for a fuel pressure gauge with a needle valve or pressure snubber. Of course I'll need to check the overflow valve anyway, but the fuel scent is probably from a failing lift pump.
You guys are great. Thanks.
