Music that makes you think about diesels...old subject, new thread

Well Ive been fighting with my parents for about a week on the subject of me going to muncie. The problem is my parents dont want me going with someone(+they dont like the idea+), they said if i had my truck there would be no problem but i dont so i cant go... Thanks Bighammer for asking all the people you asked if they could pick me up. I really wanted to meet all of you guys, and gals. . When i get my truck back and runnin again i will be at the first tdr gathering in my area, and next year i promise i will be at muncie... For all of you that wanted to meet me, sorry i cant go. I will be thinking about you all though... THERE BETTER BE LIKE 1000 PICTURES WHEN YOU ALL GET BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, there working on the truck right now, not sure on when it will be done. Also, Starting Physical theropy and going to a chiropracter this week. Back, neck, head are still giving me problems off and on but im doing better! :)

While I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to go to Muncie, I appreciate that you respect your parents guidance and are accepting it. Hope that you and the truck are feeling better soon.

Sorry, you can't go...

More fun for me. !! Whoo-Hooo!!!

You could still go to Schieds, or Piers Dyno day, or even the 4x4 Jamboree. .

Just keep updated. I'll be traveling around also. Keep you eyes peeled for upcoming events.

Get on a couple mailing lists, Like DHRA's list, and watch the "National/Regional Events" Forums.

I am BARELY making it to Muncie. (see my post in 911)

My 12V won't be ready, but my trailer MIGHT.

I know how you feel with the truck being down... .

Nick - don't forget about the tractor pulling event up in Tomah, WI.

I put a post in the Events forum...

It's not like Muncie - but there will be TONS of diesel tractors there making 1500+hp.

Nick,

How old are you 13? for pete's sake! If you are older than 18 then????????? While i respect your parents wishes but what was their rational for not letting you go? Have you proven in the past that you are unable to conduct yourself appropriatly without a shaperone? Most of your posts have the mentality of a highschool softmore, but this is rediculous.

"Joey, my mommy says I can't play"

sorry for the personal attack, but i just can't help it. You keep opening the door daily. I just had to walk thru it.

I just hope i wasn't half this immature when i was looking for puberty:D

Well... I respect the fact that my parents dont want me going. There are some pretty good reasons for them not letting me go. Also lets not forget... I do live in there house and untill i dont ill have to listen to them...

Well XC,

I do agree with Dan on this one. I'm 19, same age as you and do live in my parents home while going to college. There has been plenty of instances where ive wanted to go somewhere but they felt different. For example, i wanted to go to Lake Havasu with a friend but they felt it wasnt the best idea becuase of all the drinking and etc. I went anyways since I know I'm responsible enough to not mess up. I came back fine. Sometimes you know yourself better than your parents and need to do what you want to do and take a break. I understand that you need to atleast listen to their opinion on most things since your in their house but their wishes are not the final decision. Go to Munchie, if i was closer, i would be going too. These guys on this board are great, your lucky they would even consider taking punk a$$ kids like us. ;) :D Well good luck.....

What was the bill for the body repairs?

Is there a respectable member close by that would be responsible for you that your parents could meet before you went? If might make them feel more comfortable about the trip, and the fact that are asking them about it might make them feel better about you too.

If someone like me showed up at 3AM (the approximate time I'll roll thru). I would probably get shot. Elk Grove PD and long haired hippie lookin' truck drivers might not get along much less X's Mom and Dad.

Nick missed out... . TiM '04 was a complete blast.

I'm assuming that there will be video and stills of the event coming out shortly...
