Somebody had it bad. They really wanted a diesel. Looks neat! Those old 2-strokes sound good.

First thought- an awful lot of work, that ole boy has way too much free time on his hands.

Second thought- only a bleeping GM would need an under the hood ether rig.

Third thought- noise ?? You ever been around a 4-53 very much ? Forget ever hearing anything again, unless it's a 12- 71 or an 8-92. My god, the racket.

Pretty cool. I like the idea of 2-stroke diesels. Even better if they're air cooled.

That is pretty damn sweet! He drives it well and it sure seems to shift smoothly. I like it because it is different! You gotta have a lotta gears for a Detroit because they have to really rev to go. Their torque curve is WAY high, about like a chain saw or weed whacker. It requires ether to crank a low compression diesel when its cold.
