correct stall converter

Okay I have a donor truck for my conversion

This is my dads 1980 One Ton, he bought it new to tow his race car with and to this date its only got 69K miles on it. It has a 360 Automatic that he has put some thorley headers on and changed the cam in it. It will pull the trailer in the pic no problem at 75-80mph... only problem bieng it gets 6mpg lol. Figured some conversion nuts might like to see a pic of it :D

the picture came up... NICE truck... I wish they (DC) still made crewcab type trucks thought. That would be a BIG plus in today's market.

Yeah, a Crew Cab would be. I bought a '70 a while back but it'll be at 6mos b4 I get to play with it.

I couldn't get the pick to come up.

You think he'll convert it?

Sweet looking rig. Bummer it has the 5. 9 gas and not a 5. 9 Mighty "C". It would be a real easy swap though. Make a real truck out of it. :D Twice the HP, twice the TQ, twice the MPG, unbelievable!

LOL it has a 3" exhaust with a Flowmaster 2 chamber muffler and a pretty decent sized cam so it sounds very healthy. But your right it doesn't rattle :D

I doubt he will ever convert it. When it gets driven its usualy to haul something or to take the car to the track. Since it pulls so good the main selling point of the cummins would be MPG as power is really not a problem with the BOMBed gas motor thats in it. But due to its lack of use the MPG doesn't really matter. I drove my dads car for two years in high school and he drove the truck everyday. . thats the main reason its got that many miles on it. I turned 16 in 94 and it only had 21K on it

that 70 of mine has a little bitty 383 BB in it. It'll hop right outa there when the time comes.

We're gonna have to get together in a few months in Tulsa. My truck is getting ram-air in the next 3-4 wks and a new B1, exhaust, dd3(+), PE comp. . time for a new Dyno Day about April. It's slow going for me because I travel. Last time you saw me pulling that 70 beast home :D I don't know what to do with myself in all my nonexistent free time;)

I had already taken off when you stopped by our little bitty dyno day. . I had an appointment with the dragstrip :D. Me and Hiperf360(jon with the black 3500 you may have seen) would sure like to take a look at the B-1 :D

how about the last weekend in april. . you're right it was Hiperf360. Anyway, look forward to meeting ya

some one had a neat a$$ hotrod. . your are bad fish and I thought it was a 'cuda.

That was Wades Cuda. . his is a 71 mine is a 68, I talked to jon not to long after I left and must have just missed you. Last weekend in April sounds good to me!

Nice Rig

Looks like the first one (1/2 ton) I ever owned. Have owned a few since then. All Dodges! Loved every one, too. Only one I have left is my '57 under restoration. It's a D-100 with a 315, but I'm thinking about a 4BT. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
