I just called to order D25 coils but was talked out of them. I currently have the spacers but since I am getting ready to do my whole front end I thought I would try out the coils. I was just told that they don't make them for the Diesel and that your better off with the spacers. He said that our coils are rated for our weight (which I realize) and that the D25 are not made for our weight. He also stated if you use them you will not get 2" lift due to the sag and you will eventually lose your ride height when they start to sag. I realize a bunch of you are using these, is it worth the money? How much do they sag? Have you lost ride height? Did you notice much difference in ride quality? Also what color are they? Any input would be greatly appreciated, I would like to base my decision on all the input I can get and this is the best place for that..... Thanks  :D

Well, I went with the full blown Skyjacker lift kit rather than just new coils, but I do have the D25 coils. They were installed in April 2002, I have driven I'd guess between 30 - 35K miles on them, just added a Denver Off Road front bumper 2 months ago (no whinch yet), and there has been zero sagging so far... Ride is absolutely smoother and better with them, and the dual front shocks. The D25 coils have a red paint/coating.

By the way, I have the 2 1/2" lift. There are tons of TDR members with both 2 1/2" and 4 1/2" Skyjacker lifts with tons and tons of miles on them, and many of those miles hard off roading bumpy miles.

Me thinks someone was smoking a wee bit too much crack when he told you the D25 coils are not rated for a Cummins. Well, maybe not rated for a Signature 600 :-laf

d 25's

Get the D25's, you will not regret it. They improved my ride greatly over stock. I cannot say anything about them sagging yet because I have only had them for a couple months, but they are so much better. :D

D25's

Thanks everyone for the input. I knew the D25 were made for our trucks and that this guy was full of it I just wanted some more results on the performance. The original call was to Jackit who told me this but since they have the best price that is where I ordered them. The guy I ordered from told me a completely different story. I just wanted to make sure they were working out for everybody. Like I said I currently have the steel spacers but since my truck is going to be apart for other stuff I thought I would try the springs... . Thanks again for the replies. I ordered them today should be here in a few days... ..... Dwayne..... :D

There is NO problem with the Cummins and those springs. The one issue I have heard (and experienced a bit) is the fact that the factory springs may be slightly different to compensate for side-to-side variations. My 4. 5" lift has about 18 months and 15k miles, and I have measured less than 1/4" sag. There is about 1/2" difference in height measured at the front of the frame near the bumper... Not enough to worry about in my book.

Get the D25s, you'll love the better ride. I have the whole shebang including new rear leaf springs. The truck rides soooo much better even my wife commented on it. She used to make unpleasant faces and not happy sounds on the road up to our house, now it's just a smile :D

Only problen I see is once the front smooths out with the new coils, you will notice the buckboard ride from the rear leafs more.

Yeah, that guys sounds like an idiot. I'm on my second Skyjacker system and I swear by them. If for some strange reason your coils were to sag, they will replace them for you. That's not word of mouth either, straight from SJ.

Can I get a little input on going with a 2. 5" lift vs. a 4" for the 315 BFG AT tires?

We'll plan to put these on 8" wheels (Eagle 0145).

Where are the better prices on the SJ lift kits being found?

What about the RS9000 adjustable shocks over the 6-shock configuration?

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated!

The guy is a moron, don't deal with him again. If he by chance answers ask to speak with someone else.

D25's on probably a month to a month & 1/2 ago now with probably 5K miles on them. Mine have sagged JUST a little. It went from a very noticeable bulldog nose high style(which I liked!:{ ) too just barely nose high.

Most of the 5K miles have been hwy/interstate driving. Haven't really flexed them any.

This was my thread

Obviously awhile ago, and since I have done the D25's and am very happy with them. The guy that I mentioned at the start of this was not very smart. Any way they work great and I have had very little sag, I still sit nose high. Later. .
