I am running the super old school engine mounted cummins/carter LP and 4600 7#frame mounted pusher. I think the days are short for my Virgin VP and I want to upgrade my fuel system. I have expirenced two cases where letting off of full throttle too quick has airlocked the VP. Meaning I had to roll off the side of the road and crack the lines and purge the air and then retighten before it would run.
How often do u guys change your filters? I assume the units pre filter the fuel before it even hits the pump saving the pump from wear. If im wrong tell me.
just trying to get an idea of the cost associated in the filtered models of fuel pumps before I buy one. Is there a way to plug off the filter nipples if u got tired of buying the filters?
