Problem with a poll is there is no way to know how many RC's compared to QC. If the poll shows that only 4 RC's failed but 50 QC's failed that could be because there are 3000 QC owners reading this site and only 50 RC owners. I guess I don't know how to get the good data? Also to many variables. example say a stock truck that is never run below 1/2 tank does not have a lift pump failure but a modified truck that is run almost empty does? Some things we do know. Last pump modification was 1/1/2002, the shorter the distance the better it is for the pump. Keeping the tank over 1/2 full is easier on the pump. Going from WOT to 0 RPM's can kill a LP. Some things we suspect. The more you bomb the CTD the more fuel you need pumped the harder it is on the LP. I notice that several of the RC owners that posted failures have modified fuel systems, I think all of the different factors can affect the life of the LP. I guess when I asked this question that the distance was the magic bullet. I now think it is just "one" of the contributing factors.
