I've got some bed side damage and am thinking on putting a 9 foot flat bed on my rig, not sure how it'd look with my truck bein a SRW, let me know what you guys think, It would definately add to the utilitarian nature of the truck, but cuts on the sleek looks, just need some ideas and thoughts guys,

Depends on what you do with the truck, I have a Hydra-bed on my truck that I would hate to be without. It allows me to carry two big round bales of hay and unroll them to feed cattle but I use it for lots more than that. Having the hydralically contolled arms, lets me pick up and carry items that I would have had to have a tractor for. Having live hydraullic on a pickup are nice too.

Western Hauler makes bad @ss beds, and they will paint it to match your ride too... Very good looking, and they have integrated toolboxes in them!

I just took mine off, spent about a week building it just to my liking, total was about 1200 in materials including the lights and toolboxes. I just didnt like the look and the rest of the truck is too nice to be degraded to a flatbed. My original box was trashed but about a week ago i found a mint box at a local utility body company for 300. I cant wait to get it painted and get the truck back to looking good!

not quite what you were looking for but I like to show off!

I guess it is all a matter of opinion, but I think I UPGRADED both of my trucks when I put on the flatbeds!

I HATE a cheesie pickup bed. Flatbeds are STRONG and enable the truck to be USED as a truck without fears of dents if you lean up against it wrong!

I think a SRW's look OK if you add saddle boxes in front of the whheels. IMO this would also be a good option if I goober up my bed. It is much cheaper too boot.

I like that Pavemen, I'm looking into a flatbed mainly because I keep feeling like I can't use my truck for what it was intended... Work. Do any members out there have a quzd cab with a flat bed on that would be willing to post pics for me, I've got a good mental picture, but want to see some in true to life form, I'm thinking I'm gonna do it within the next few months but still need some visual aid.
