Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
My new 03' is in! It took exactly 30 days, from the time I ordered it. Note below, the options etc...
I picked her up in Phoenix, yesterday and drove just over 400 miles home, about an hour north of Los Angeles. I felt like I was driving a luxury car, compared to my 96'. First thing I did was fill her up. I drove very conservative the first 100 miles or so, put her on cruise in 6th gear, set it at about 70, and just let her purr. Wow she really handles nice, feels so much tighter than my 96'. After 100 miles or so, I came up to a few long grades, so I thought I would see how she performed... . wow! This baby has so much more muscle than the 96', glad I got the H. O. ! On these long grades when I put my foot down she goes from 70 to 95 like a bat out of he!!, and wants to keep going faster, but I pulled in the reigns. I was impressed.
I then averaged about 82 mph, the rest of the way home. I hit about 50 miles of rough road in the San Bernadino area (hwy 10), and it really shook the heck out of me, felt like I needed a kidney belt! Much stiffer suspension than my 96' 3/4 ton, plus the fact that the 96' has 3 tool boxes loaded and a lumber rack, I'm sure that helps alot, I need to get some weight on this puppy!
The leather seats are awesome, very soft... the stereo sounds great, the motor is much quieter than the 96'... what the heck I'm 43 yrs. old, I deserve a little luxury! I pulled into town and filled her up and calculated 16. 6 MPG on the first tank, not bad considering the speeds I was traveling and not broken in. Very impressed with this new truck.
