Has anyone dynoed this downloader? Does it stack good with the TST? Can you use the highest setting or is it too much? Is it as powerful as they claim?

Nope, I haven't dynoed with it. It did not stack with the TST Twins '05 for me initially on any setting. I had the new user adj timing feature programmed on my TST and now it is a sweet stack. I found through sotp that the best settings on my particular truck was to run the PPE on Extreme and the TST on 5/1. The PPE has a lot of timing in it and if you don't have the ability to adj the TST then it doesn't stack. I have my TST set on just 3* as anything above that I get hvy injector rattle. The PPE is in imho stronger than the CLDL which it is often compared to. I have had both and ran each by themselves. I ran it for about a month by itself when TST had my box and it is a very strong unit and yes I ran it on Extreme and continue to do so stacked. Their 300hp rating is suppose to be at the crank while CLDL is at the rear wheels. If my old CLDL was in fact 230hp as they claimed at the rear wheels then this is something between that and 300hp at the rear wheels. I doubt it is 300hp at the rear wheels but it certainly feels stronger especially the way it comes on in higher rpms.

the tst with the adjustablity you speak of, is this the new tst everyone is waiting to see available? can they update an existing tst or do you have to buy new? (if the one you are running is the new one)

There are a couple New things from TST and some pending beta testing. The User adjustable timing feature is upgradable through a reflash on many of the units. Call them and provide your sn# on the side of your box. Mine was a year old and was able to be upgraded and also I had the turbo timer added which I believe is mandatory for the timing upgrade.

There is a beta unit, which I have that has 4 programs on it where you get the above mentioned plus the standard tst, economy, '05 twins and '03 twins. I think that upgrade will be ready for them to market also very soon or it may be available now,... you can ask when you call. If I were you I would wait for this 4 program feature to be available before I reflashed. Just my opinion.

Lastly there is another feature for just recently sold TST units,... they can give you the sn# it applies to, or you would have to get a new box altogether to get that feature, which is a fueling feature to compliment their timing and duration. :D

Would this be pressure? :D

Yes it would be pressure. From what they told me it is applied differently than most pressure boxes however,... it comes on super strong on the low and mid ranges and by the time your in od then it is very moderate or gone all together. It's just to get our lead sleds up and rollin' very quickly and should also help spool-up a ton from what I understand.

Hijacking the thread

I guess I and others have kindaaaaa hijacked this thread and all of a sudden we've gone from PPE HOT to TST and it's new features.

Ok,... I'm better now and back on the PPE. One fairly new feature on the PPE HOT that is not out but some are beta testing is the feature of being able to turn off the torq mgt and low boost fueling. They keep saying two weeks and I guess they're still tweaking which I would prefer rather than sending me something that I have to send right back for not working right but it is almost ready to romp. It has got to be one HOT mother with torq mgt turned off,... can't wait to try it out. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Are the PPE HOT compatible with a 2005 610 w/ nv5600, I see for the HOT box and even the 2005 Manual Trans. box they say at the bottom (on PPE website) not compatible with some 610. What are some, anybody running this downloader on a 05 6 spd. Would this be a good or bad stack with Edge HOT Juice? I figure PPE on extrexe and leave Juice on a low setting, anybody try this? Or should I plan on getting a TST and Hyperpac gauges and selling the Edge Juice/Attitude? MAN MAN MAN DECISIONS SECISIONS I am always looking for experience. I want big power Ats Manifold/ Snow Perf. Stg 2 on Order, Silver Bullet closely behind. Thanks for all input and experiences

I think a friend of mine has the PPE Hot stacked with an Edge Attitude on an '05 6 spd. He called me one night regarding the confusion on their website before he ordered it. I will bug him tomorrow at work to throw a reply on this thread. I know he now has a SB dual disc on the way. To my knowledge he is happy with it.

can you use the TQ Mgt from PPE without extra HP? I thought that the OEM setting way-layed the TQ a bit on take-off. I'd like to see OEM power and -no- torque management, just to see.

Ppe

I don't know what the configurations or options will be available when they flash my PPE HOT with the NO torq mgt option. Right now it doesn't have all the multiple selections you are talking about. It just has stock, tow, perf, and extreme.

Michael, broesers buddy here, I have the PPE HotNV5600 program and it does make great power. Had to go round and round with PPE to figure out what one I needed-depends on build date-their listings are very confusing. I would definately call them to hash it out. Mine was built 11/04. As far as stacking with juice (I have regular juice), too much timing, PPE extreme w/juice above 1=timing rattle. PPE tow-juice 1-3 OK, good power anything above=ratttle. I'm gonna sell the juice pretty soon and go the TST route as mentionned above. Right now with stock clutch I can't hold PPE Extreme to the floor-major slippage-must... ease. . into. . it. I'm fixin that this weekend with SBC 3850 DD. Nice smoke too, especially at low boost(stay off my arse tailgaters. 3700 rpms are awsome-especially when rowing gears. PPE also does a little pressure on extreme. I can't wait to get the TST adjustable timing box. Still can't put my IISPS66 on until I get my technicooler (waiting for a month as of now). All in all I am happy with PPE Hot-hope this helps!

hemic67, thanks for the reply, thats what I was looking for. I figured but wasnt sure. PPE HOT to come, run with J/A combo, then Hyperpac to replace Attitude and TST to replace Hot Juice. You like the SBC DD 3850 and Banks Technicooler, Both great products, at least on my truck.

Michael,

Have you check out the new smarty cr. It has modified tq management, timing and no timing settings and is upgradeable and a host of other things.

To tell the truth it will be a little while to I change up my electronics/box. It will be a TST for sure stacked with the PPE or Smarty or whatever seems to be the way to go at that time. Plus I want to see some more TST/PPE stacks and TST/Smarty CR stacks with results and the other mods they might be using to get the numbers. I have a few other things coming soon and I am going to dyno once all them items are installed, just see what my current setup with Hot Juice can do. Thanks for your reply. Real world time will tell me what to get when the time comes

Compatibility of the Outlook & PPE??

Does anyone know if the Outlook is compatible with the PPE? Having had both (the PPE and BDDL/CLDL )I noticed that the screen print and layout is exactly like the Bullydog product.
