I ordered a rigid dashtop from LMC last week and am not overly impressed. I noticed a long scratch on the front of it after removing it from the package. I was also told at the time of purchase it would be close to matching my interior but it comes no where close to it. I've talked with a sales rep and he said he would ship me another one. I was thinking about going with the black (unpainted) top so as not to worry about repairing paint scratches down the road. Has anyone installed one of these or care to voice their opinions of this product? Also, does anyone know if the dash tops Geno's offer are the same manufacturer or possibly better? TIA

Genos

I pretty sure I got mine from Genos and it fits well. It came with a small tube of silicone. The first time I tried installing the silicone semi dried up before I could get it plastered down so after cleaning that mess I bought a regular caulking gun size and used almost all of it. Just mask off places around the edges, you can also use some petroleum jelly for easy clean up. I needed to trim it a little around my guage pillar. Hope that helps.

Yes, it's a plastic top. The one I ordered from LMC did come with a small tube of silicone/adhesive. I trial-fitted the top to see how it would fit and although it doesn't interfere with the pillars, it seems I will need to trim the sides, as they want to lap over the side panels; may need to trim 1/8+. However, I'm still undecided as to what I should do.
