I really can't believe some of you think that the TDR is ran by folks who would stoop to the level of covering up "problems" for advertisers by yanking threads that may show them in a bad light.

Sure the TDR has advertisers, but as long as threads stay within site guidelines they can stay on the boards indefinitely.

I would have to agree here. TDR is an extremely open forum, in my mind, as it should be. They have rules and regs just as any site does but does seem to leave content that could be viewed as objectionable on other sites. I've had whole threads pulled on other diesel boards when I spoke about my issues with a certain dealer mainly because I mentioned the dealers name. Not here.



My point: Why read a forum board where you know the content will be so severely edited that you'd never be able to obtain the information needed for you to make a rational decision.



TDR rocks! IMO, the thread was pulled because Driver8 requested it. Be it because he reached a deal with Banks, his lawyer advised him to as they will be going to court, or other.

So, just so I understand correctly, I am supposed to take TC's version of events (including what Scheid did or didn't tell him) but I shouldn't believe a word Matt said. Hmmm... . take the word of a Banks dealer or the word of a burned customer.



Has anybody stopped to wonder if maybe Banks just flat out threatened Matt with a lawsuit if he didn't shut up?



I would love to see Banks provide us with even 1 (ONE) example of where they stood behind their product and replaced somebody's burned up motor.

I have to agree with what "Huskerman" said! Banks apparently had another

one of their dealers who goes by "Dgetech" over on DTW also do some

"investigating" for them and then post his findings on that website.

When I talked with Peter Tredyte @ Banks he told me "they were

not going to respond to this situation but if someone other than a

Banks employee did respond that was alright. " To this day, I still

cannot believe how Banks Technicians at the 2003 ATS Truckfest

in Denver, Colordao lied right to my face about NOT having an ATS

TripleLok Transmission in their Banks Sidewinder LSR Truck when in

fact THEY DID!! Heck, the thing still had the fresh purple paint on

it when we looked under the truck and FWIW there were many

witnesses to this and pictures taken by ATS (which they still have)

to prove it! IMO, that was done because everyone knew that

Banks would do exactly what they did; deny the transmission

was in that Banks Sidewinder LSR Truck when in reality it was!

My question to Peter and everyone here is "Why?" It is also

just ONE example of the things I have witnessed by their

company over the last seven years.
