Thread preview pop-up window

Hey, just recently I lost the ability to put the cursor over a thread and preview the first post in a pop-up window.

Does anyone know how I can re-enable that feature? I really miss it!

Did you change browsers? That's a function in your browser and not all of them support it.

I just noticed it was gone on mine as well. Microsoft did just release an update on IE that put some restrictions on ActiveX controls (and possibly Javascript) that probably is blocking the preview.



Just haven't taken the time to figure out how to re-enable them yet... .

Is there any way to have the preview last longer than a few seconds? I would like to read more of the thread without having to always float the curser back n' forth.

No, I'm still using IE 6. 0, but my computer does prompt me to download updates from Microsoft on occasion.

Specifically, my version is IE 6. 0. 2900. 2180. xpsp_sp2_gdr. 050301-1519

No, there's no way to adjust the length of time it shows up. It doesn't use Javascript either. I'm pretty sure my IE is updated but I'm checking right now to be sure and will let you guys know if it still works for me after that.

I just did those updates and it's still working here so it must be something else on your machine. Have you added any new internet security software to your PC?
