Thread sealent on fuel gauge?

Ok I have the grease gun hose and a 1/8 inch coupler what do you guys use on the threads??

There are fuel safe sealant. I dont know the name of an off hand. Dont use rvt. And make sure none get inside. I used nothing on mine and have no leaks. It is real low presure.

I USED A LOCTITE THREAD/PIPE SEALANT. dONT HAVE NUMBER THOUGH(ITS OUT IN THE SHOP)

Permatex 14A is a thread sealer with Teflon

Permatex 2A is a general purpose sealer (resin based).

Loctite 565 PST is a high grade sealer for SS fittings.



DO NOT use teflon tape!

Keep the paste products back from the end of the fitting at least 2 thread turns. Even slippery Teflon will eat up a pump.
