Thread size of the shifter?

I'm going to modify my shift lever or build one, what is the size of the thread where it attaches to the top of the tower??

10 x 1. 5 is the thread for the shift knob. I don't have any metric bolts laying around my garage or I would know. I went out and tried to check my factory shifter. A 1/2-20 bolt fits in there loosely so I imagine it is a 14mm coarse thread.

I know that doesn't really help but maybe it will get you closer to finding the right answer.

I think I will either find a nut to fit that stud, and make a new shift lever... or i'm going to buy a shift lever and "customize" it to clear a car seat.
