Thread subscription

After replying to a thread you are automaticaly subscribed to it which means you get an email notification whenever someone else responds. Can we change the subsrciption from automatic to a choice, in other words if I reply to a thread and want to subscribe to it I can choose to instead of it being automatic?



I forget to remove the subscription and my mail box runs over. Does any other members feel the same way? TDR what do you think?

You already have that choice. Pull down the discussion forums menu to user control panel and then click on edit options. On the second category down you'll see "Default thread subscription mode". You can choose no email notification, instant notification (the default), daily notification (that will send you a digest of all the theads in that category), or weekly notification (again a digest). That sets your default for when you post - it won't affect previous thread subscriptions.
