I have received complaints regarding the following threads:

How to make a woman Happy

Beach Wear Contest

I have moved them to the Moderators Forum.

Please review the TDR Website guidelines, which you agreed to when you requested access to the TDR Website.

Humor is great. Vulgarity and offensive material is not. We try to be very tolerant, but enough is enough. We have a very short list of users who seem intent to push the guidelines in this area. Please consider this a friendly reminder. Keep it clean, or keep it off of our Website.

E-mail me directly if you have issues with this very sincere request: rpatton@ix.netcom.com.

ok I read the "HOW TOO " one & as for that , I posted it not too long ago & it was removed even though I cleaned it up , ok what ever some prude didn't like it & some others I posted , OK I'll deal .

But today's post Beach Wear Contest was a link to a real contest , no pics , no questionable wording , just a link

& a pole for who you liked , nothing wrong there that I could see

so here's my question

how many people have too complain about a post that " THEY THINK " is offensive & at what point does the rest of the

members have a say on what they think about a post

Remember it's a privatly owned website, and the owners can do whatever they want, or cut whatever threads they want.

Let me give you a referance to my favorite web site for "off-the-wall" stuff. www.keithandmike.com

rules is rules

2. 5. Post, transmit or link to sexually explicit material;

I personally felt there was no problem with the Beach Wear Contest link but what do I know? I'll let you know the winner after the moderators finish voting. ;)

yea I read that too before I posted that link

but what do you know it's gone & it's not like the "other forum" is open to the public eye , it's for members only , but only if a certain few approve

maybe I should complain about every little thing I don't like that I read on the TDR , would those threads get pulled too ?? I don't think so , why is that ?

illflem thanks for your views on the beach wear contest

illflem...

After you read this rule... .

"2. 4. Post or transmit any material that is mean-spirited, abusive, obscene, hateful, fraudulent, threatening, vulgar harassing, or defamatory (the use of symbols or characters to mask profanity and expletives is prohibited and undermines the spirit of these guidelines);"

Explain to me what post would be left on this entire forum????.

This is what I am getting at,most all posts have the tendency to cross someone at one time or another. So what now,a member can say he is threatened by a " undetermined" thread because he/she deems it threatening to his/hers way of life, thinking or beliefs??. So then I contact all my chums to complain to you to apply pressure so you to "pull" the thread and/or "suspend" the writer.

I don't know, maybe its me,seems like alot of people have nothing better to do than find stuff that displeases them. Even if has nothing of content for them, complain about it because they don't like it and get it or the writer/writers removed. I Can not say thats fair, can you. Has anyone honestly asked those who disagree with the "posts or writings" in question if they would have anything actually to contribute to it or were they just deciding by themselves it had to go for one reason or another.

Well I guess its time for me to saddle up my complaint typing fingers and begin to decide what I dont like,NAH its not worth it,because those who do it are far better at it than me... ... ..... Andy

It happened here in St. Petersburg Florida too. The news and papers all reported that a white police officer shot and killed a young black motorist... Why color had anything to do with it I don't know. The meat of the incident was the cop pulled over a driver for a traffic violation. Upon running the tags, the car came up as reported stolen. When the officer asked the young driver to exit the car so he could be handcuffed and charged, the young driver tried to drive away. The officer drew his pistol, aimed at the driver and told him to stop. The young driver aimed his car at the officer and accelerated toward the officer. Upon hitting the officer with his car, the officer fired through the windshield, killing the driver. Drugs were also found in the stolen car. So it wasn't that a white cop killed a young black motorist. It was more like a cop shot at a traffic violating drug pushing car thief who was trying to run him over with a motor vehicle. But the neighborhood didn't see it that way and burned down several houses and businesses. It think it totaled to around $35. 00 damage. The city ended up spending several million to rebuild what the white officers meaness toward young black men caused.
