post counts

? on TDR window stickers

Just curious... some threads have a page count in the heading page so you can go to the last page and not have to open it first and then go to the last page... . why don't all of the multi page threads have this ?? seams like it used to [or am I having a senior moment LOL ]

Have you tried clicking on the arrow to the right of the name in the "Last Post" column?

It takes you to the last post to that thread, which is hopefully on the last page. ;)

missing my question. .

restated. . on the cover page that shows threads titles ,they used to show multi page threads with the page #'s next to the title. . then you could click right to the page you wanted... . example below

from other forum direct manual linked... . Let's see them bikes! (1 2 ) ..... you can see the pages here

now do a search using since last on at the top right of forums page and with the results you do not see these pages listed... . that is my question. . why example below

Who's Racing at MIR on April 26th Jetpilot Competition Forum 52

52 responses is at least 3 pages long, but where is the choice to select last page...

same page using the manual link to the competition forum you get this

Who's Racing at MIR on April 26th ( 1 2 3 ) Jetpilot 52

note pages shown . . so using the manual link to the forum you can go to the last apge... using the search you have to open the linked page and then select the last page

this used to be on the search results pages also

capeesh ?

I don't recall it ever having the page numbers when you get the thread list by clicking last day's posts. You have to go to the first page of the thread then click the last page.

I know this is sort of off the subject but what I do on several page threads is click show printable version under the last post on a page, when that page comes up click show all posts on one page at the top right corner. You can get hundreds of posts on one page, makes it much easier to find one particular post you are looking for or where you left off.

Ah, I see what you mean, Gary. As Bill saw, search results don't show the 'page count'. Search results aren't necessarily formatted quite the same, either, even though the formatting is mostly dynamic.

I would say this is an ... inconsistency in the vB software. Searches should return results in a consistent manner. IMHO. :)

So Steve, have you finished all the TDR work and need something fresh on your plate? :D  :D

Gary, when I get there, I'll think of you.

Wait. Where was I going, and why was I going to be thinking of you, of *all* people, when I got there? ... Oh, well. Never mind. It must've been a lie. :D
