Great pics, I plan to use the same type of mount, top of dash so I liked your detailed removal pcitures.

I want at least 4 gauge mounts, who makes a generic 4 or more gauge surface mount pod?

Outstanding DON! I had been wondering why no one had tried the dash pod. Looks really great. I will definately consider... although I have the infinity sytem, so I MAY not be able to take advantage of that location.

Take Care!

Andy

Don,

Your gauge install looks great! Great detail on the "how to" as well... thanks!

What I want to know now is... . where did you find the "mini CTD Dodge" for your grandson? I've been looking for one for my 15 mo. old son for Christmas... . with no luck. Thanks in advance for any help/direction you can provide. -Ken

Dash Pod

That Is the Best dash mount yet(IMHO)I have the SR1 radio,it

should not make a difference tho. That is the choice for my 03! GWD:)

The whole set of pics look fantastic! The dash pod looks great too! Mine are in the dash cubby as can be seen in my reader's rigs photos. I miss the handy dash cubby though. I may follow your idea.

Great Photos I love the picture of your son:) :)

It's never to young to get em to catch the cummins bug. :D

Real nice instal the gauges look great at night too. GREAT JOB!

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone.

Wish I could help you out on this, but I don't have a clue. But the mini CTD is a Fisher Price Power Wheels purchased through Sears (in Jan of 03).

Very nice pics, thanks for the info. You beat me to the punch. I purchased a 3 gauge pod from Geno's and was planning on doing something similar to this install. I think you've saved me some R&D time...

Hey how did you get the metal piece in the pod off? Hair dryer or what?

Your install inspired me to do the same thing after I test fitted my pillar pod and hated the location.

I just cut off the tab that protrudes and left the rest of the plate in the pod to give it some stiffening.

Also if you have the Infinity sound system you can run the leads out the back of the pod and between the dash and windshield, then under the dash at a convenient location.

By-the-way, after living with this set-up for a week now, I must say that I really like the location (and I don't have to put on my reading glasses to see the gauges).

Don

Thanks

I already cut that off and fitted it somewhat. I think I might go get some black felt to lay on the edge a bit so it dosen't rub.

Time to go make the mounting brackets now :)

I've got the Dash pod too.

Bought the Slate grey paint from Mopar, and painted it to match the dash... . I think that's the best spot for it.
