Kinda looks like the stock clutch can only handle STOCK power or Smarty jr level 1. I NEVER tried the 100hp setting... ... HONESTLY!!!
Question 1) How noisy is the Southbend DD clutch?
I have to have the DD because I can't have a heavy and hard clutch pedal. I have a back injury and a hard clutch does me in if I get stuck in traffic. I need to hold 450-475hp. I don't drag race, sled pull, or see if I can pull some idiots truck out of a mud bog. I pull a 8,000 trailer. My mods will be Smarty jr mostly run on setting 2 but I do want to have the option to run setting 3.
Question 2) Where is the best price and service on these clutches? I will install myself (with help!).
Question 3) What will be the best combo without over-kill but capable of the HP I might run?
I looked on Southbend's site. this is the one I thought of.
South Bend Clutch Double Disc - SBC DD
SBC 3250 street comp 12CB sprung or rigid. Site says it will hold 550hp and have light pedal pressure.
