1. If you have two identical 3500 SRW 4x4's sitting side by side, one with the Kore Recon and one with stock suspension, and you put 1,500 pounds in the back of both trucks, which one would squat more?

2. If the roughest high speed driving I ever do is on bad sections of interstate (and the occasional dirt road), would I get a smoother ride with the HD Coils or the VR Coils?

3. Which coil gives the truck a higher stance up front, HD or VR Coils?

Thanks for any info. My stock tires are getting worn out, and when I replace them I thought I'd go ahead and do either the Kore leveling kit (plus something to add about an inch in the rear so the front of the truck isn't pointing at the sky every time I have a load on the rear), or the Recon system (depending on the price). ;)

1. A stock 3rd gen will squat 3 inches before finding the overload, the KORE may go close to that. That's a close call with the weight you specified.

2. The heavier 3rd gens perform better with the VR's, I feel it is a smoother ride.

3. The VR will give a slightly higher stance up front.

Thanks for the reply Fred. You said it would be a close call with the weight I specified, does that mean if it was less, say around 750, then the Kore would have more or less of a sag than stock?

My truck with the stock springs in the rear would not quite touch the overloads with an ~1200lb load in the rear (lightweight popup camper @ 850lbs + water & gear). The overloads actually slapped the stops and you could hear the annoying slap in the cab. With the KORE mini packs the sag is slightly less than stock with the same weight in the rear. The truck sits fairly level with the heavy duty springs (non VR) in the front, mini packs in the rear and the camper. Without the camper the rear sits slightly higher than the front.
