Threw 2 codes today..any help-??

unplugged and removed my airbox to get to the adjuster for my airhorns, and when i got back in the truck the check engine light was on... so i did the key thing and P0107 and P0073 popped up. anyone know what these codes are, and do i have to go to the lovely dealer to clear them????????????

P0073 Ambient Temperature Sensor High

P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Low



you might want to take it to the dealer so they can check into it. Most likely they are probably some loose/bad connections.

thanks, but after i drove it awhile they check engine light went off, should i still go??

Yep - you just forgot to plug the sensor back in after removing the airbox (or didn't get it plugged in all the way). No big deal. As you've already seen, the CEL goes out after 5 ignition cycles. The codes will remain for a while (50 ignition cycles?), but won't light up the CEL unless the condition occurs again.



If the codes bother you, an Autozone can clear them for you (or, actually, hook up the scanner, and let you push the button to clear them... it's a liability thing).
