Threw code P2149

With the tst setting 1/0. Was costing up hill about 30 mph in 4th about 1300 rpm's. went to netrual on dn hill side to a stop light. light went green and grabbed 3rd at about 20 mph. pushed on the go pedel and truck feel on it's face and CEL came on. Turned chip to 0/0 and pwr was restored drove the rest of the way home. got home turned chip back on ran normal and plenty of pwr. What happened if anyone knows and what does code P2148 mean.

Thanx

All I was able to find was these. Didn't see a P2148. I can't tell you what they mean either. Wish I could help more.

P2146 Fuel Injector Group 1 Supply Voltage Circuit

P2149 Fuel Injector Group 2 Supply Voltage Circuit

I corrected my post it was P2149. I assume this was caused by the tst in what it does to make the pwr. I assume I have nothing to worry about. Or should I be concenered. The CEL went off and the truck runs fine. no problems since.

LThurman A few weeks back my rig stumbled big time and went into limp mode and threw code #2149. It took DC 10 working days to fiqure that I had a shorted fuel injector ( # 4-#6 cylinder=group 2). If yours goes into limp mode with malfunction engine light burning it's a good change that you have a shorted injector. I was running my ez on the secret level when this happened. I wonder if the reason were seeing this hap because of the boxes that were using?

it hasn't repeated since i even drove it for a day with the box on 0/0 with no issues. Went out of limp modem as soon as i put in back on 0/0 when it happened that night. Does any one know if the injector are shorting will the tst pass on what is saw so you ecm will trip a code when there is actually something wrong or have i lost that feature with the chip installed?

This happened to me as well; only it happened twice. The second time I had to take the box off to get home. Never leave home without the Leatherman. Sent the tst complete back to them. 3 days later had it back with a new wiring harness, and re-programmed. I had one of the first boxes (JAN 04). The new program throws no codes at all - at any setting. Power is also a bit smoother. I would suggest that you send your stuff back to tst and have them check it out. JP

i just recieved the box 3weeks ago. would that be new enough for the programing your talking about. If not will give the folks at tst a call.

yes, that is the current program. If it happens again, I would have the harness checked. That was the fix for my problem. Did you find the injector harness to be kinda short ??

have any of you had the TST box reset on its own back to 0-0? I have had this happen two times. I think it is cause i hid my box behind my battery. I am thinking it did this cause it got to hot... not the truck but the tst box. I read they have their heat monitor system on the chip. Were did some of you all mount yours? I am trying to catch it do it... normally i am driving and think it feels funny and i look down and it is on 0-0. Like i said i think it is cause it isn't getting the air flow?

Mine has thrown the P2149 code twice now. The first time the CEL shut itself off and the code went away all on its own. This time the light is now off and I haven't checked to see if the code is gone or not. I got P2146 before I ever added any form of chip. Dealer checked it out and couldn't find anything wrong. Haven't had it in to them about 2149 'cause it goes away. Any thoughts???
