Every time I am towing a large load up a decent hill, the bellcrank towards the firewall pops off, leaving me at idle (at least it will still pull uphill at idle in granny). I've searched but I can't find the exact fix. I imagine I could just buy a new bellcrank and pivot ball, but I thought I would ask here.

There is a throttle linkage recall. I think it applies to your '94. Have a dealer check to see if it has been done to your truck. If not, it's a safety recall so it's free.

Missouri Mule,

The page that britannic posted, where he says "click here for TSB info" is the page I am talking about. The address to the page he was linking to is this one:

It was for the 97-98 trucks.

I will call the dealer about the recall you just posted. Thanks

From looking at the web pages, it looks like the dealer will "pay me" for the time they would normally charge to do the recall, and obviously provide the parts? I'd much rather replace the parts myself.

Has anyone found this to be the case?
