As everyone may have read I am putting a Cummins in a Suburban. My motor is a late 91 intercooled and came out of a 1 ton truck with a manual transmission. The last couple days I have been toying with my kickdown cable and am having a hard time getting it adjusted correctly. If some one could post a picture of their kickdown bracket on an auto transmission truck I would appreciate it.

Yea its new Scott. :-laf You didn't look under the hood at SOP3. I put it on not to long before the meet.

I am going to have to do a bushing on the bell crank soon.

New injectors in a week or so.

I could be wrong. It happened once... :-laf

I don't like the weird twist mine seems to have, it is hell on the linkage, clips etc. But it is adjusted right and works great.

There is supposed to be a spring on the TV cable. It returns the cable to the rest position. I have never seen one with out a spring in that location... .

Your truck does not have one????

Not a strange thing happening with the exception of about 2-3 quarts of fluid coming out around the weld on the Torque converter. 2-3 quarts of fluid per day I might add :--) I haven't been using it but tonight is the night the transmission is coming out, out with the old and in with the new. Might have to slap a spring on the linkage too...

On a side note the 89' FSM says, back side of the pin to the rear side of the slot is . 225 or 5. 7mm

Hope that helps and good luck.
