Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Throttle cable recall

after getting several recall notices I waited as long as I thought I could to have the throttle cable replaced. 9,2002 and 160,000 miles I let them replace a good looking cable. The new cable only has 6,000 miles on it and it is frayed.

Will D/C replace the cable or did I give away a good cable?

i would think take it back to the dealer and have it replaced... . no reason that you should pay for it.

The recall repair pkg also comes with some of the pump linkage pieces (ball studs and end links), these are likely worn too with mileage.



So maybe a complete fix is in order.

I don't think the dealer is legally obligated to do the recall again. This will be a true test of how good the dealer is to it's customers.
