Throttle cable replacement

Just took my 95' in for the recall on the throttle cable. Although mine was factory and looked fine, I noticed a huge difference after replacing it. The throttle was much easier to use after the replacement. Maybe it was frayed and hanging on the inside of the cable cover. Who knows. Glad I did it.

recall #970 cable refund???

oliver88, i took mine in to the dealer yeasterday, cause i got the recall notice, and let them decide as to replacement, cause i had already replaced mine in june 98. they replaced the said cable, and the rod ends on the pump rod, any way.

for you guys that have already done this repair your selves, and don't feel like you want to go and have it checked out, here's your refund address.

Do they pay you for labor, or just the cable? I've already replaced both of mine.

I think they will foot the whole thing, just like if you took in in today, unless you did the labor yourself.

thanks for your inquiry, my understanding on the reimbersment,

just a copy of the reicet sent to that address, and i guess they will revue it. probebly just one time reimbersment. when i got mine done the other day no charge, they handled it just like the origanal recall replacement. but then, maybe all dealers are going to look at it on individual case also. hope this has been some help.

Look at the top of the page for "User CP. Click on it. Then look for "Edit Profile" Click on it. Scroll down and find "signature". Here is where you put your truck and other "stuff"
