i don't know if anyone has had a problem with their throttle cable or not, but i did last week... it started sticking, and the truck would not return to idle while driving to West Springfield, Ma. so i swung into a rest area, picked up a can of wd-40, sprayed up the cable, and viola its freed up (yeah right) so i look at the pedal and realize the pedal is on the floor while the arm on the apps is at idle, not good. so after screwin around with the dang thing for awhile, i came up with the idea to run plastic zip ties between the pedal and the pin on the apps. well a round trip to Maine and back down to Jersey and the zip ties never slipped or caused a problem, i almost left them there but decided i oughta throw a new cable in. so i ordered up a new cable, and wouldn't ya know one of the grommets is about . 15 in. smaller than the old one and won't lock in the bracket on the apps. so after calling and checking part numbers they tell me i have the right cable and all. so now i fabricated another bracket to hold the cable in the apps bracket... what a PITA, but it all works. just thought i'd throw this out there if anyone else has a similar problem. its real easy to hook something up between the pedal and the throttle arm and at least your driving again
