I would like to instll a throttle cable to adjust the idle when cold. Mine starts than dies because of low idle, when warm she idles at about 900. I know on tow trucks and other applications external throttle cables are installed for hydraulics to be operated. Has anyone done this and if so where did you hook up the cable and secure the casing. I have a brand new cable ready to go. Thanks.

The easiest place to tie in is on the throttle linkage under the dash. Take a look at how the stock cable is hooked in and duplicate it. Remember that it needs to be a sliding connection so your throttle still works while the cable is at idle. A stranded type cable core works best because space is limited, you need to make a sharp bend near the end. A soild core will still work but is harder to pull.

A yard stick wedged between the pedal and seat also works well and is easy. With a power seat it is a simple matter to adjust the idle where you want.
