Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Throttle cable

What is the fix for throttle not opening up? I put some zip ties around the end of the cable at the peddle to pull it off the floor some more. this is the biggest gain of all. Made a huge difference. Do I just have to buy a new cable?

There was a recall for throttle linkage and cable some time ago. Has it been applied to your truck? If you don't know I think you can take you VIN to a dealer and find out. If it hasn't been done to your truck they should do it for free.
