2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Throttle Catching

Pedal is sticky / catching upon acceleration. Any ideas?

I know earlier trucks had throttle cable fraying that had similar symtoms

Just fixed my sticking fuel pedal... ... ... It was the plastic clip that holds my cable for the cruise control. It had popped loose when I was fooling with my tps and kick-down cable. It got a little exciting around town with my sticking throttle because the only way I could get it to unstick was to punch the fuel pedal quickly! Lotsa noise, smoke and

Do they cables fray on the inside, outside or both of the cab. The cable looks to be in great shape on the inside. I have not looked outside yet.
