Here is my Shade tree fix to prevent "exessive idling"/ Engine warm up I cut a yard stick at 7 1/4 inches and put one end in the groove in the GO pedal up near the top and the other end against the bottom of the dash. I start my baby up and she sets there and purrs at 1100 rpm till I am ready to leave.
Thats my two cents worth.

I rest one end of "The Club" on the loud pedal, and extend it so that it butts up againts the front edge of the drivers seat.
