Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Throttle linkage

I was checking out the fuel system for leaks and started playing with the throttle linkage and found a loose part in photo attached. This lever cocks to one side when the throttle in pressed. I would think that there should be something to keep this lever in place. Any input?

there is a 10MM bolt to hold it tight on the backside, the lever itself has a woodruff key to keep it properly orientated on the shaft.

Signal73 I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. The pivot point is in the center of that lever that has a spring on one end and the other end has a adjustable rod. The pivot is what I'm refering to. It robbles around and cocks to one side when the throttle is operated. I looks like there should be some sort of collar on that rod that the lever pivots on.

unless the bushing in the housing of the pump is shot, then the only reason it would wobble is because the nut is loose holding it. can you grab the shaft and wobble it, or just the bracket itself?
If the bushing was/is shot I would think you would have a significant oil leak from that point.

I understand now only the bracket was loose not the shaft. I found a small bolt that was loose up near the ball joint. see attached photo. thanks
