Archived throttle linkage

Snapped the linkage rod in half trying to adjust it. Replacement from Dodge does not have the two ball studs installed. How do I remove these from the original and install in new linkage.

If the old linkage is original, there is a small clip that slips into the ball reciever and then snaps onto the rod to retain the ball. These rust into place and can be a little challenging to remove. Use lots of lube. If you have the updated linkage they just pop off.
