Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Throttle Position Sensor

Info needed: Is there a repair such as cleaning or adjusting for the throttle position sensor or should it just be replaced. The transmission is downshifting on its own under throttle. It's a 1996 3500 Automatic. Thanks, Dutch

It has a way to adjust the TPS and a way to eliminate it.

A bad trans temp switch or brake switch can do that also
