I have four throttle positions codes, so I figured no problem, I will get a new sensor and try it. Holy S&*#, the dealer wants close to $500 for a new one.

Does anyone here have some suggestions on how to troubleshoot and make sure that is what I need prior to spending that much on an electrical part that is not refundable?

Similarly, does anybody know about the APPS part from Genos? Is that a viable option?

Just to verify, the codes I am getting are 2122 and 2121, both listed as TPS

This is getting more confusing:
-Dealer wants $500
-Timo wants $270
-ROC auto has a TPS for about $165

There is so much variation in part prices, I kind of doubt those are all the same part.

Also, there is a lot of talk about the location.
-I have been told it is on the pedal (makes sense on a drive by wire truck)
-I have been told it is under the driver battery
-I have been told it is on the engine
-I am away from the truck right now (as I can't rely on it) so I can't look.

Does anybody, with those codes, have a suggestion of where I should be looking?

It's not under the pedal. You'll have to look at your engine but in 03 they were located on the engine on some and under the battery on others.

Here's a pic of mine on the eng:

I've replaced two now. One for a friend, one on my truck. Don't get one from anyone else other than timbo. By far the best both price and quality. You won't be disappointed.

Tim from Timbo called me back, and with me looking at the engine made sure I was getting the right one. It is on order.

Thanks for all the input in figuring out what I needed. I will let you know how it turns out. Part should be here Friday.

Thanks for the input, and thanks for the good part Timbo. The sensor fixed the problem, and the truck is all set.
