I have read where some of you have taken apart your throttle position sensor. HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET IT APART???? I finally gave up and drilled two very small holes in the groove where the center rotates and flushed it out with contact cleaner. Had all I could take of the shifting up and down stuff. works good now but for how long?? I figure that the holes only line up when the throttle is closed so when I am running it won't be any debris enter since the center turning splits two halves of the holes apart. .

I am not familiar with your problem as my truck is a 99 but over on the 12v forum there is a thread entitled "TPS revisited" Maybe those guys can give you a hand... . Steve in N/Calif.
