Has anyone broken the plastic clip on the end of their TV cable?

Is there a replacement for the clip or do you have to buy an entire new cable?

On mine, the part that clips over the pin broke off of the body. I was fortunate that the broken part stayed on the pin and I was able to retrieve it.

I glued it back together with polyurethane glue and it is holding but it would be nice to have a replacement handy if it comes apart again.

You might want to stop in your local transmission repair shop. I know we used to be able to buy replacement ends for most trannys. They weren't too much money, only a couple of bucks.

I replaced my throttle cable last week and it was $47. 00

My cable was really rusted up.

Thanks for the reply Joe.

I was curious about the cost of a new cable.

$47. 00 would be quite a lot since the only problem is a broken end.

My cable seems to be fine otherwise.

I'll try a local shop for a replacement as you suggested. I know better than to ask the dealer.

This all came to pass because, for quite some time, I have been trying to get my shift timing back where it was before the dealer did the recall throttle cable replacement.

I finally discovered that there is one critical measurement that should have been established during throttle cable replacement and their mechanic blew it.

After I got that corrected I then broke the plastic connector trying to get the TV cable adjusted.

Anyhow it was worth it, my transmission now shifts into OD and the TC locks up when it should and the glued part is still holding.
