Today, while towing my CJ7, my truck misfired twice. Complety seperate occasions on my trip. The second time the check engine light came on. P2149 is my code. I believe that it means a misfire on cylinders 4-6. I have rececently been loosing mileage significantly. I had the IAT sensor replaced, and I had a BG flush of my fuel system. My fuel system came up very dirty. After the second misfire I put the Edge J/A on Stock. I did not have any more problems. I did not know what the code was, so I did not drive it very hard at all. First time I have been passed!:mad: Should I call Edge, would this be a problem with the chip? I checked my injector harness connections, they seem to be good. Give me a direction to attack this one. I need to haul my Jeep to a parade for the 4th. Thanks! Truck info in the sig.
 
I've been there, done that, twice now! This time I messed something up I think. I had to have Edge flash my chip last time, seems to fix it. Let me know what you find out, I'd really like to figure it out.
 
JLandry can you also enlighten me. I have an 03 3500 QC ho srw auto w/3. 73 gears. I put the edge juice with attitude on set to level 3 and promptly through the P2149 the very first time i drove it when I was pulling onto the freeway. It then through cod P0192 that I thought was an over pressure of the fuel rail. I called edge and sent the box back for a re-flash. I now am getting P0234 and P2149... Is something wrong with the truck or???

I talked to edge and they say it is a software problem on thier end. I will be sending the J/A back to edge and they will reflash it and bring the verson up to a more up to date verson. I will go ahead and get the hot unlock done as well since I have to take it off the truck. I wanted to upgrade to a turbo timer but that would cost me way too much money. The reflash is free, the hot unlock is standard cost.



They also said that my decrease in MPG is also an indication of software issues.

Letting you Know how it goes

I got my J/A back from Edge over a week ago. I have had it installed for a week now. The truck runs better and my MPGs are back up where they used to be. None of my settings on the J/A were changed and when it comes up at the begining it is still version 1. 0. I really would have thought that it would have come up as version 1. 1 or something.



On a side note I tried the hot level last night. It was cool (under 80deg outside temp) and the truck was at operating temp. I let it get about 30MPH so that I would not roast the tires. I got into it pretty good. Man was it pulling hard. All of a sudden the EGT warning came on I was over 1430. Then there was a thud and the check eng light came on. When I got home there were two codes an over boost code and a P0193 rail pressure high circuit code. Do you think I ran the rail dry or what. I am not displeased, I just want to know how to fix it later.
