Here is what I did. I used 4" aluminum pipe about 5 inches long. I welded an aluminum block(about 1 inch X 2 inch) onto the pipe. I drilled and tapped the block and mounted the IAT sensor. The depth is right on to the factory setup. On one end of the pipe I used a large open filter. on ther other I ran new pipe to the turbo using some rubber elbows and aluminum pipe. It looks great, however It throws 2 codes

P0073 Ambient Temperature Sensor High

P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Low

What is wrong?? Am I giving it to much air?? Do I need to relocate the IAT sensor?? I think I will try that tomarrow. I'll try to get some pics up in the morning. I'm headed to a Ford Dyno days on Saturday, and I need to get the bugs worked out.

I agree with dieselpilot1969, I think you are collecting heat in your new tube (form the block) and it's throwing off the sensor. Build up a layer under the mount or shield it.

maybe just maybe it could be that it used to be a 5" tube going into a 4 then 3" tube you might need the extra volume that was in the intake tube. I built my own out of 4" PVC and replaced the intake tube with the X in it. . I have seen another member that lives in Anchorage built his own also no problems either.

Problem solved... . I screwed up..... I had the sensor unpluged while working on installing the intake. Half way thre, a buddy show up and wanted to go to dinner. My window was rolled down, so I turned the key on to roll it up! It took it a day or so, and the engine light went off. All is good!! Works and sounds good!! Thanks for the ideas and help!
